MBIE 2025 Energy Report Concept Infographic

Inspired by MBIE’s 2025 Energy Report, I created an infographic that translates complex data into an accessible visual scene strongly connected to New Zealand’s public identity. The design merges the country’s main electricity generation methods, such as hydro, wind, solar, and geothermal ,into a cohesive landscape illustration. The infographic was designed for flexible use: as a textbook visual, a folded leaflet, or a digital display on a website. In an interactive context, each energy area could feature hover-activated pop-ups to reveal detailed graphs and supporting data. This approach combines illustration and information design to make technical content clear, engaging, and relevant for diverse audiences.
